On April 11-15, 2019, a training on “Adaptation of Individual Agricultural Farms to Climate Change” was held in Baku, organized by “Azergold” LLC, supported by Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. At the training, Dr. Rovshan Abbasov, Director of the Department of Geography and the Environment at Khazar University, delivered talks on such themes as: “The impact of climate change on the agrarian sector in Azerbaijan: tendencies and existing problems” and “Water management in the context of climate change in the national agrarian sector: existing problems and solutions”.
The training was attended by Zakir Ibrahimov, the Chairman of the Board of “AzerGold”, Soltan Mammadov, Head of International Relations Department of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Novruz Guliyev, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Seyfaddin Talibov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
Moreover, 60 farmers from different regions of Azerbaijan also participated in the training.
