On April 9, 2019 at the invitation of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT), Khayala Mammadova, PhD in Social Sciences, the official expert of the training program organized by the “Clarivate Analytics” database in Azerbaijan, the assistant editor of the international scientific journal “Khazar Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences”, delivered a presentation on “Writing scientific articles and requirements of international scientific publication houses” within the framework of the organized seminar.

Jeyhun Mammadov, the Rector of AIT, welcomed the participants and asserted that various seminars, roundtables, trainings are held in order to strengthen the scientific potential of the institute's staff and students, as well as to encourage their activity in this field and stimulate their commitment in publishing articles in local and international journals. Rector also talked about the attention and care shown by the country's President Ilham Aliyev to science in Azerbaijan. He noted that one of the main tasks in ensuring the continuous scientific development in the digital age forming the information environment is - the integration into the international electronic scientific information platform.

Khayala Mammadova made a report on “Writing scientific articles and requirements of international scientific publication houses”. K.Mammadova indicated that the purpose of the seminar was to publish works of Azerbaijani scholars in world-known high-index journals, and conducting continuous awareness-raising activities in this field.

K.Mammadova provided detailed information on the structure of scientific articles meeting the international requirements, publishing articles in journals, research journals and selection criteria. Moreover, she has informed on the guidelines for submission of articles in international journals; improving special skills in articles’ publication; editors and reviewers' response.

The seminar was followed with discussions on the subject.
