On February 15, 2019, representatives of the British Council Azerbaijan visited Khazar University’s Neftchiler Campus.

The goal of the meeting was to discuss cooperation between Khazar University and the British Council. Participants of the meeting from Khazar University included Founder of Khazar University, Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, Acting Rector Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, Development Director Ms. Raziya Isayeva, and Director of International Affairs Office Ms. Turan Jafarova. British Council was represented by Mr. Summer Xia, Director, Ms. Nigar Baimova, Deputy Director, and Ms. Nargiz Akbarova, Examination Services Manager.

Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli opened the meeting by welcoming Mr. Summer Xia at Khazar University and wishing him good luck in his new appointment. Prof. Isakhanli emphasized close cooperation between Khazar University and the British Council and expressed hopes that this partnership will continue and strengthen.

Mr. Summer Xia informed the meeting participants about the programs run by the British Council and how the university could benefit from them.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli presented his book entitled “In Search of Khazar” to Mr. Summer Xia. The book is dedicated to the history of establishment of Khazar University.
