On February 2, 2019, a consultation chaired by Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, dedicated to current issues, was held at Khazar University. The consultation was attended by the administration and teaching staff of the university.

In his speech, Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli gave detailed information on structural reforms being held at the university and explained the essence of the reforms.

At the consultation, it was also announced that Dr. Hassan Niknafs resigned as Rector of Khazar University, still keeping his position as Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and that Irada Khalilova, Vice-Rector for Research, was appointed as Acting Rector of the university.

Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli presented Dr. Hassan Niknafs with a Certificate of Gratitude for his productive performance as Rector of the university.
