On January 20, 2019, Araz Aslanli and Telman Nusratoghlu, instructors of the Department of History and Archaeology of Khazar University, Musa Gasimli, Member of Parliament, and Erkan Ozal, Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan, had a discussion, on TRT Avaz , about January 20 (Martyrs' Day) and the history of occupation of Azerbaijan by Russia.

During the discussion, the speakers talked about the atrocities committed by the Soviet army in Baku on January 20 as well as Russian colonialism and the history of the national struggle of the Azerbaijani people.
