On December 11, 2018, 68^th traditional meeting of the Assembly of Science and Art presided by Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, took place at Khazar University. Delivering an opening speech, Prof. Isakhanli, talked about tea, its spread from China over the world, The East India Company’s tea policy and subsequently, gave the floor to the key speaker of the meeting, Prof. Farman Guliyev, DSc. in Agrarian Science, President of the International Association of Caucasian and Azerbaijani Tea Associations, Head of the Lankaran Division of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Then the key speaker talked about the adoption of state programs on establishment of tea and citrus plantations and development of citrus plants in Azerbaijan.
