On November 30, 2018, a meeting between Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, and Ruslan Kozhakhmetov, Vice-Rector of Almaty Management University of Kazakhstan (AlmaU), was held at Khazar University with participation of Dr. Hassan Niknafs, Rector of Khazar University, Dr. Isakhan Isakhanli, Vice-rector for Administration and Student Affairs, and Prof. Mahammad Nuriyev, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss collaboration opportunities between universities and to sign a Memorandum of Understanding.

After discussion of the mutually beneficial issues, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between parties.
