On October 12, 2018, a delegation from Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute paid a visit to Khazar University.

Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, as well as Dr. Hassan Niknafs, Rector, Assoc.Prof. Gasham Zeynalov, Head of Oil and Gas Department, Prof. Ahmed M. Al-Sabagh, Rector of Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute, delegation together with the Director of Egyptian Culture Centre Ahmed Sami Elaydy participated in the meeting.

During the meeting the sides reached agreement on further cooperation between Khazar University and the Egyptian Oil Research Institute, as well as agreed to take mutual steps to boost scientific exchanges between the two countries.
