On September 19, 2018, on an organizational support of Erciyez University, Khazar University, National Museum of History and Turkish Historical Society, an official opening ceremony of “I Turkic Peoples' Gravestone Symposium” was held at Azerbaijan National Museum of History. At the ceremony, Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees; Academician Naila Valikhanli, Director of National Museum of History; Prof.Jalil Arslan, Erciyez University, delivered speeches.

On the second half of the day, the Symposium continued at Khazar University.
