Recently founded Nanotechnology Laboratory of the Khazar University was officially opened through a seminar about Micro-Nanotechnology. This event was held by the participation of students and faculty members of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Three different research fields of the NanoLab were discussed during the seminar. Dr.Rasoul Moradi, a researcher at Chemical Engineering Department, presented his upcoming research works on Nanofiber Advanced Materials. Dr.Mirsadegh Seyedzavvar, a researcher in Mechanical Engineering Department, delivered a presentation on Nanofluids, and Dr.Mehdi Kiyasatfar, another researcher in Mechanical Engineering Department, presented his research interests on BioMEMS and Microfluidics for Life Sciences.
At the end of the ceremony Prof. Hassan Niknafs, the Acting Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, talked about the Nano-laboratory’s main objectives and the university policy to provide the required infrastructure for research. He encouraged all interested students to join the lab by participating effectively in the upcoming research projects.
