On June 31, 2018, an awarding ceremony for the winners of the blog post competition “My candidate is Ilham Aliyev”, which was announced by "Our Youth" Public Union with regard to presidential election held in April, 2018, was held. Vice-rectors of several universities, government representatives as well as prominent public and political figures participated in the ceremony. According to the result of the competition, an article by Aydin Salimli, a second year student of the School of Economics and Management of Khazar University, held the first place. The winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates.
