On May 24, 2018, on the organizational support of the Department of Languages and Cultures of Khazar University, a seminar on “Language issues in the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic” was held on the occasion of the 100^th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. In the seminar, Elchin Ibrahimov, PhD in Philology and executive secretary of the journal “Turkish Studies” of Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, enlightened the participants about the topic entitled “Language issues in the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic”. Assoc. Prof. Zivar Huseynli-Bayla, coordinator of the Department of Languages and Cultures, Khatira Yusifova, researcher of Institute of Manuscripts named after M.Fuzuli of ANAS and instructor of Khazar University, as well as Gatiba Guliyeva, senior researcher of Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi of ANAS, Head of the Department of Education of the same Institute and instructor of Khazar University, participated in the discussion part of the seminar.
