On May 8, 2018, on the occasion of Europe Day, the Ambassador of Belgium to Azerbaijan Mr. Bert Schoofs delivered a lecture for the students of Khazar University. A special lecture of Belgium’s Ambassador, entitled “Belgium’s multi-layered structure of governance and its role in the EU”, was organized within the Network for Developing European Studies in the Caucasus (DESCnet) project. During the meeting, the students were informed on history, culture, priorities of foreign policy, economy, education system of Belgium and its multilateral affairs in the context of the EU, NATO, OSCE, UN.

The meeting ended with a question-and-answer session headed by Elmar Mustafayev, Coordinator of Political Science and International Relations Department.
