On 6 February 2018, the Founder of Khazar University and the Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, delivered a speech at the scientific-practical seminar on “Fake Scientific and Academic Ethics: Contemporary Challenges and the Development of New Institutions” held at the Azerbaijan State Economic University.

At the seminar moderated by the Professor of ASEU Zahid Mammadov, speakers including Pro-rector of Istanbul University, Prof. Sedat Murat, Head of the Department of Criminalistics and Forensic Medicine of BSU, Prof. Kamil Salimov, a former editor (2002-2017) of a leading international Journal of Applied and Computation Mathematics, prof. Yusif Gasimov exchanged their views on the topics related to the fight against trash journals and predatory publishers, countermeasures in prevention of falsification of improvement of bibliometrics and science-metrics data, the role of improvement of data of bibliometrics and science-metrics in the development of modern science, “fake research” market and measures against it, technology of improvement of h-index and the development of imitation science, unity problems of science and education, ethical principles in scientific results’ publications, plagiarism in scientific publications and taken countermeasures, the quality of scientific expertise results, cases of poorly written articles published in strong scientific journals, anti-plagiarism measures in ASEU, anti-plagiarism program activity and scientific ethics in ASEU.
