Presentation ceremony of the book on decision-making theory by a prominent scientist Rafig Aliyev, one of the greatest experts on fuzzy logic and artificial intelligence, which was published in the USA, was held in Marble Hall of Khazar University, on February 2, 2018.

“Uncertain computation based decision theory”, which is 75^th monograph by the professor, was published by “World Scientific”, one of the famous scientific publishers. “World Scientific” is interested in publishing researches meeting world standards. The book by our compatriot will be used as a textbook in several countries including the USA.

Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, delivered an opening speech talking about great achievements of the scientist.

Ramiz Rovshan, a poet, Nadirbek Sadigbekov, Uzbek scientist academic, Gulu Maharramli, a journalist and publicist, and Rafig Rashad Aliyev, Prof. Rafig Aliyev’s grandson who is studying at Durham University (Great Britain), delivered speeches underlining various aspects of scientific activities of the professor.

In his speech, Rafig Aliyev talked about background of the book and expressed his gratitude to university administration for the presentation ceremony.

At the ceremony, Chamber Orchestra of Khazar University performed pieces of music, and a short film about life and scientific activities of the professor was demonstrated.
