The next training course on ‘School Management’ to potential school directors, the project of Khazar University, has ended. It should also be noted that this course will continue in the next academic year.
The main aim of the training course, in accordance with the country’s new education strategy and reform, is to increase the knowledge and skills of educational workers who want to work in leadership positions at schools and get them familiar with the world’s effective management practices.
Due to this reason, 6 subjects ( Information and Communication Technologies, Curriculum Design and Management, Education Management, Statistics and Finance, Education Law, Education Psychology) were taught 4 days per week ( 16 hours) and the course lasted for 12 weeks.
There were also “Quest Lecturers’ Seminars” within the frame of the project during the training sessions.
During the course, the participants made presentations and conducted discussions on key topics. They expressed the importance of the project and stated that they would apply the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge in their work in the future.
It should be noted that 445 people have been trained within the frame of the project and more than 50 people (this number is constantly rising) have been appointed as directors or deputy directors.
On 7 July, a ceremony was held in the conference hall of ‘Dunya’ school, Khazar University, to present the ‘Professional Development Certificates’ to 81 graduates of the training course. Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, delivered a speech at the ceremony. He expressed the importance of the project and emphasized the necessity of establishing a democratic, fair and transparent environment in every educational institution. The rector, Dr. Hassan Niknafs, gave valuable advice to the graduates in his speech. The speakers congratulated the graduates and wished them a successful career.
Then the certificates were presented to the 3 group of graduates by Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, Dr. Hassan Niknafs, Isakhan Isakhanli, Vice President for Administration and Student Affairs, the Deans, the Heads of Academic Departments, Project Managers and the lecturers of the course. Konul Bejanova , Fidan Samadova, and Jala Gadirova spoke on behalf of the graduates and expressed their gratitude to the leadership of Khazar University, Project managers – Elza Samadova, Dean of the School of Education and Raziya Isayeva, Development Director and their lecturers for the high level of training course organization.
During the ceremony, Mahluga Azizova, the ex-graduate of the course and currently, the director of 232 School in Surakhani district, made a speech and emphasized the importance of acquired knowledge and skills during the course in their career.
The concert performed by the Chamber orchestra of Khazar University led by Zulfiyya Sadigova, Head of the Department of Music and Fine Arts, was presented to the participants of the ceremony.
