The Department of Political Science and Philosophy is a leading center of undergraduate and graduate teaching offering academic degree programs in Political Science, International Relations, and European Studies taught entirely in English.
Our programs are designed to provide students with analytical skills and conceptual tools needed to tackle pressing issues of our time: from conflict and international security issues to the political economy of energy and regional geopolitics. Our students gain knowledge in all major sub-disciplines of political research including political theory, comparative political economy, international relations theory, and comparative-institutional analysis.
Political Science and Philosophy at Khazar is home to faculty members and experts educated in leading universities from around the world who are engaged in teaching various modules and conducting research. They bring their knowledge and practical experience to encourage students to devise diverse analytical approaches to the study of local and global policy issues.
The Department aims to provide an intellectually stimulating environment by regularly hosting seminars, guest lectures and workshops including Jean Monnet Seminar series and crisis simulation exercises.
