World One Health Day event to be held

Khazar University will organize a World One Health Day event on October 22, 2024, with staff members, researchers, and students from the Department of Life Sciences participating actively. As part of the program, students will visit the “Citrus Valley” orchard in Lankaran to obtain firsthand knowledge of biodiversity. The event will emphasize the value of biodiversity, the conservation of local, wild, and introduced species, and the impact of climate change and anthropogenic factors on such ecosystems. Students will also see numerous species, such as insects, birds, and animals, contributing to the citrus tree ecology.

The event seeks to raise awareness about health concerns that affect people, animals, and ecosystems in Azerbaijan as well as around the world.
It will be open to the public.
