On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees, you are invited to the 3rd International Conference on One Health, under the theme "One Health: Problems & Solutions" The conference will be held on 1-2 June 2023 in the beautiful city of Baku, Azerbaijan, hosted by Khazar University.

As a member of the Planetary Health Alliance (PHA) consortium, and following the success of the 1st conference on 1-2 June 2018 as one of the Satellite Partner Meetings of the second PHA Annual Meeting on May 29-June 1, 2018, in Edinburgh, UK, we are started our series of Planetary Health and One Health meetings. The second meeting was held on 24-25 May 2019.

Our co-organizers are Azerbaijan Medical University, Azerbaijan National Research Institute of Medical Prevention named after Vali Akhundov, the Food Safety Agency of The Republic of Azerbaijan, the Department of Molecular Sciences at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) together with SLU Swedish Centre for Animal Welfare of SLU who works together with Khazar University in a joint project (HanimSPAC) on animal welfare and sustainability, the faculty of Livestock Raising and Water Bioresources from the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Poltava State Agrarian University of Ukraine and Caucasus University Association.

The scientific program will include a wide range of critically important sessions from basic research to innovations in Planetary Health and One Health in Azerbaijan. The conference intends to use discussions and presentations on new Planetary Health and One Health Approaches, Public Health issues, the impact of Climate Change on natural disasters, the man-made threats of war and ecological terror, Emergency preparedness for natural disasters, diseases control and prevention strategies, food safety, sustainable healthy food production, policies, and the Planetary Health capacity building to achieve the best health for people, animal, and our environment. We encourage building new relationships among stakeholders, young researchers, and experts to boost future regional and global collaboration.

Abstract submission deadline is extended to 10 May 12:00 AM Baku, Azerbaijan time

All abstracts must be submitted online at the Conference website.

Oral and poster presentations

The Scientific Organization Committee will select abstracts for oral and poster presentations. On-board poster presenters must bring their printed posters to the conference, set up from 10:00 on June 1st onwards June 2nd, and stand beside their posters during coffee breaks. During the poster presentation, the Scientific Committee will choose the outstanding best poster based on the evaluation. The poster format is 120 cm high and 100 cm wide in a Portrait format. All posters should be sent for registration in A4 pdf format to contact@onehealth.az  

Proceedings/publications

The proceedings will be published in one of the special issues of the scientific peer-reviewed journal, as well as in the Conference electronic book.
