A research paper by Asim Amrahov, a second-year Chemical engineering student of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical engineering at Khazar University, has been published in the proceedings of the XXI International Conference on Spectroscopy of Coordination Compounds, held in Tuapse, Russia.
The research, entitled “Complexation Study of Ag (I) with 1,3-bis((2E)-3-(naphthalen-1-yldiazenyl)-4-oxopentan-2-ylidene)thiourea” was carried out under the scientific supervision of Dr. Tahir Javadzade, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
The study investigates the complex formation of silver(I) ions with a synthesized new organic reagent using an extraction-spectrophotometric method. The findings contribute to the development of analytical methods for the determination of trace amounts of silver.
