Representatives of Istanbul Gedik University of Türkiye visited Khazar University from June 29 to July 3, 2026, within the framework of the Erasmus+ exchange program.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Egemen Sulukan, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of Istanbul Gedik University; Dr. Doruk Gürkan and Dr. Redvan Ghasemlounia, lecturers of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; and Yücel Kamar and Ezgi Yıldız, staff members of the International Relations Department, were guests at Khazar University.

The meeting, organized by the Department of International Relations, was attended by staff members of Khazar University's Department of International Relations, the School of Sciences and Engineering, the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology, as well as the Department of Physics and Electronics.

During the meeting, presentations were given on the activities, educational programs, research opportunities, and prospects for international cooperation of both universities. Following Khazar University's presentation, the representatives of Istanbul Gedik University provided information about their own university, and future directions of cooperation were discussed.

On the following days of the visit, the guests became acquainted with Khazar University's central campus, laboratories, and other infrastructure facilities. The guests showed great interest in becoming closely acquainted with the university's academic and research environment.

On the final day of the visit, an excursion to the historical and cultural sites of Baku was organized for the representatives of Istanbul Gedik University. As part of the cultural program, the guests became acquainted with the city's sights.

The meeting holds significant importance for further developing the existing cooperation between the two universities and creating new opportunities for cooperation.
