On February 6, 2023, a meeting was held at the rector's office concerning the terrible earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş-Pazarcık, Turkey. The meeting covered, appropriate organizational work to be done to provide all kinds of material and moral support to the fraternal country and regarding this issue, to implement the aid campaign at the university.
A letter of condolence was presented to the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan on behalf of the founder of the university, chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, professor, academician Hamlet Isakhanli.
Financial aid in the amount of 20,000 manats was provided to Turkey on behalf of Khazar University.
The donations collected in the "Senilayam Turkey" aid campaign organized among university staff and students on February 13 were delivered to the Central Aid Collection Point to be sent to Türkiye.
A fundraising campaign was started by university staff and students and is still ongoing. The collected funds will be deposited into the account of Ziraat Bank this weekend.
On February 9-10, members of the Student Assembly (12-13 people) took an active part in packing items in the Aid Campaign of ATIB (Azerbaijan-Türkiye Business Association ) operating in Baku.
On February 11-12 (Saturday and Sunday), university employees closely participated in the organization of the aid campaign, and on February 13, with the support of the Career Center and the support of the Student Assembly, a volunteer team of students took part in the packing work at the Heydar Aliyev Sports Complex - Central Aid Collection Point .
