On 26th of September, the meeting was held between the Azerbaijan National Erasmus Office and met with Khazar University leadership and staff members on ERASMUS+ programs.
At the meeting, the Director of the Azerbaijan National Office of ERASMUS+ Parviz Bagirov presented on ERASMUS projects. He provided detailed information on the new rules for applying for ERASMUS projects, the main directions of the program, participation in the project of local and foreign universities, and new projects and prospects.
Speaking about the need to effectively use the opportunities of the Erasmus+ program and other EU-supported educational programs in expanding international cooperation with higher education institutions of the European Union (EU), P.Bagirov noted that Azerbaijani universities, especially Khazar University have an important responsibility in this direction.
Parviz Baghirov also punctuated the new changes in the project management policy of European Commission and called university to adapt the newly implemented projects to these changes for better results.
Baghirov also noted that right perspectives are needed to determine for more joined and sustainable projects with EU.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University, and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees; Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, Rector of Khazar University who gave questions of interest to the Mr.Baghirov, and discussions were held on implementing new prospects by Academic staff.
The sides gained an agreement to hold an "Information Day" on the European Union-funded ERASMUS+ program in upcoming months.
