On November 5, 2021, the first anniversary of the Great Victory in Karabakh - the first Victory Day was celebrated at Khazar University's F. Amirov Concert and Conference Center.
After the presentation of the video based on the chronicle of the 44-day war, the memory of the martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence, and the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.
In the official part of the event, a video on the Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood based on the words of national leader Heydar Aliyev "Turkey and Azerbaijan are one nation, two states" and great leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk "Azerbaijan's sorrow is our sorrow, joy is our joy" was presented, and then, Professor of Eastern Mediterranean University of Turkey Senol Kantarci shared his heartfelt words with the participants of the event.
Khazar University graduates who took part in the 44-day war were greeted with great enthusiasm. Professor, Academician Hamlet Isaxanli, founder of Khazar University and chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, greeted the veterans and said he was proud of them. Among the veterans, senior lieutenant Javad Hashimov thanked for the invitation and expressed his gratitude to the native university.
The musical-artistic composition continued with performances by Khazar University students Laman Rzaguliyeva, Tahmin Bakirov, Valikhan Valikhanli, Yegana Guliyeva, Nazrin Askerova, Sema Mehdiyeva, Laman Hajili, Solmaz Mirzaliyeva, Ayten Karimkhanova, and Imamali Ibrahimov in various genres.
The talented singer Khamid Khamzayev sang "I am off to war, mother", and Javidan Mamedov, a member of the "Dervish" group, sang "Mister Lieutenant". Interesting compositions performed by the "Dervish" group (compositions "Khudayar classification" and "Vatandir") drew applause from the participants of the event.
The Victory Day ended with a musical-artistic composition, "The Black Sea Flickering," co-produced by Khazar University students and the Dervish Group.
After the event, a cordial meeting of veterans was held with university administration and faculty members and Professor, Academician Hamlet Isaxanli.
