71st Session of the Assembly of “Science and Art” Held

On June 11, 2019, the 71^st Session of the traditional “Assembly of Science and Art” was held at Khazar University. The Session was opened by Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University and the Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees. He cordially welcomed the participants of the Assembly and gave information about Ziya Avşar, Professor of the Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University in Turkey, the well-known researcher of Divan Literature. Professor Ziya Avşar delivered an extensive scientific lecture on “Mevlana's World of Love and Wisdom”. Then discussions took place on this report and following participants delivered their speeches: Associate Professor Elza Samedova, Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Melek Karimova, Coordinator of the Department of Psychology of Khazar University, Dr. Bahman Amani, Head of English Language and Literature Department (Khazar University); Associate Professor Seyfaddin Altayli, turcologist (Eurasia University), Ali Shamil, Head of the International Affairs Office (Folklore Institute of ANAS), Professor Shahin Mustafayev (Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS), Afag Gambarova (“Dunya” School), historian and translator Shahin Fazil (History Institute of ANAS), Badirkhan Ahmadov (BSU, Bahram Oromi (Businessman), Saadat Shikhiyeva (Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS), Nizami Muradov (Folklore Institute of ANAS), Turankhanim Humbatova (Literature Museum named after Nizami) and others.

At the end of the session, Hamlet Isakhanli expressed his gratitude on behalf of Khazar University to Ziya Avşar and all the participants for a very interesting report.
