Biological Sciences
Khazar University Biological Sciences Department and Centre for Cell Pathology Research Center collaborates with the Biomedical Centre of Uppsala University in Sweden. Research collaboration and opportunities for joint educational programs between the universities have been discussed during meetings.
Dr. Irada Khalilova, Head of the Biology Department and Director of the Cell Pathology Research Center at Khazar University, performed research on Mesenchyme Stem Cells becoming Osteoblasts and the Use of Biomaterials along with Dental Tissue Regeneration in the Faculty of Odontology’s Research Laboratory of Biology, Health and Nanoscience at Montpellier University in France as part of an Erasmus + mobility grant.
Petroleum Engineering
Petroleum Engineering Department at Khazar University headed by associate professor Gasham Zeynalov is currently performing a research project on “Theoretical and experimental investigations of wettability alteration and its potential impact on hydrocarbon recovery” funded by Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Thie project has a duration for 2 years. Petroleum Engineering Department at Khazar University is collaborating with the National Academy of Sciences, Baku Higher Oil School, Association of Petroleum Engineers and Azerbaijan State Oil And Industry University in this project.
“EILINK” Scientific Research and Development Center in the Petroleum Engineering Department at Khazar University is implementing researches based on the projects of industrial companies.
