Uzbekistan Club

The Uzbekistan Club at Khazar University is a student-led cultural and social club established to promote awareness, appreciation, and understanding of Uzbekistan’s history, language, traditions, and contemporary culture among students.

The Club serves as a platform for cultural exchange, friendship, and closer interaction between Uzbek and local students, while also promoting Uzbek culture among the wider Khazar University community.

The main aim of the Club is to introduce students to the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan while encouraging intercultural dialogue and mutual respect in a diverse academic environment. It also helps strengthen ties between Azerbaijani and Uzbek students by creating opportunities for communication, collaboration, and shared learning experiences. In addition, the Club supports internationalization on campus by promoting regional cultural knowledge.

The Club plans to organize a range of engaging and educational activities for students in 2026, such as:

  • Cultural days and themed events dedicated to Uzbek traditions, national holidays, music, and clothing
  • Language practice sessions introducing basic Uzbek words, expressions, and cultural etiquette
  • Traditional food presentations where students can explore Uzbek cuisine and its cultural significance
  • Film screenings and book discussions focused on Uzbek literature, cinema, and history
  • Workshops and presentations about famous Uzbek cities, landmarks, arts, and crafts
  • Music and dance activities featuring traditional Uzbek performances or student-led showcases
  • Interactive quizzes and competitions about Uzbekistan’s geography, culture, and heritage
  • Collaborative celebrations with other student clubs to promote multiculturalism and cross-cultural friendship
  • Guest speaker sessions with academics, diplomats, or members of the Uzbek community
  • Excursions or cultural exhibitions linked to regional culture, art, and historical connections

Overall, the Uzbekistan Club has become a valuable part of student life at Khazar University by enriching campus diversity, encouraging inclusion, and creating enjoyable opportunities for students to learn about Uzbekistan in an interactive and meaningful way.
