Robotics Club

Welcome to Our Team

Welcome to the Khazar University Robotics Club, a community of creative, ambitious, and technology-driven students passionate about robotics, engineering, innovation, and problem-solving.

Our club brings together students who are eager to turn ideas into real solutions, develop technical skills, and represent the university in national and international competitions. Through teamwork, experimentation, and innovation, we aim to inspire the next generation of robotics specialists and technology leaders.

Our Activities

The Robotics Club actively engages students in a wide range of academic, technical, and competitive activities. Members of the club participate in robotics competitions, innovation challenges, startup events, and science festivals, while also working on projects that address real-world problems.

Khazar University’s robotics students have proudly represented both the university and Azerbaijan in prestigious competitions. In the Azerbaijan II Robotics Olympiad held on October 6, 2018, Khazar University participated with six teams in two categories under the leadership of Emin Bayramov, a third-year student of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The university achieved notable success, with “Prime Generation” winning 3rd place in the Open category, “Robin Food” taking 4th place, and “Killshot” becoming the winner in the Regular Senior category. As a result, the Killshot team earned the right to represent Azerbaijan at the World Robotics Olympiad in Thailand.

The club’s activities also extend beyond robotics tournaments into innovation and entrepreneurship. In December 2018, Khazar University students successfully participated in several competitions with original project ideas. The “Drinko” project won 4th place in the Cleantech Ideation Bootcamp 2018, presenting an innovative concept aimed at addressing clean water access and reducing CO2 emissions. The “Robin Food” initiative reached the final of the II National Youth Science and Creativity Competition, where it was recognized with certification for its socially driven food-sharing platform. Another project, “SDS”, qualified for the final of the IV Winter Science Festival held at Baku Engineering University with its technically innovative security system.

Khazar University students have also achieved success on the international stage. In October 2019, a student team from the university was included in the Top 10 at the 1st Robotics Competition held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). In the Robot Sumo category, Khazar University students Emin Bayramov and Mahammad Mammadli represented Azerbaijan under the supervision of Rahman Rasulzade, teacher at the School of Sciences and Engineering and founder of AREA.

These achievements reflect the club’s commitment to excellence in robotics, innovation, collaboration, and applied learning.
