Khazar University’s Sustainability Committee is dedicated to promoting sustainability across academic, social, and environmental dimensions. As a key body in the university’s strategic planning efforts, the Committee ensures that sustainability is integrated into institutional goals, policies, and practices.

Through strategic initiatives, the Committee supports the advancement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on improving educational quality, reducing inequalities, supporting economic development, and preserving the environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sustainability-related strategic planning and policy development at the university level.
• Integrate SDG principles into university operations, including curriculum design, recruitment, campus development, and support services.
• Promote research, student and faculty projects, and events that advance sustainability.
• Increase awareness and engagement among students and staff on sustainability issues.
• Build partnerships with external organizations to expand the impact of sustainability initiatives.
• Produce an annual sustainability report tracking progress, outcomes, and future directions.
