The English Language and Literature Department of Khazar University is pleased to announce a Creative Writing Contest dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of Khazar University.

This contest is open to students from all disciplines and is designed for participants of all English proficiency levels. It aims to encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence in writing in English.

Submissions will be evaluated according to the following writing criteria:

Task Response: The topic is clearly addressed and ideas are relevant.

Coherence and Cohesion: Ideas are logically organized and easy to follow.

Lexical Resource: Vocabulary is appropriate and varied.

Grammar Range and Accuracy: Sentences are clear with correct grammar and punctuation.

Creativity and Originality: Ideas are original and show personal voice.

Registration for the contest is open until 25 February. The contest will take place on 5 March at Khazar University. All submissions should be sent to arasulova@khazar.org.
