Seminar on “Real-World AI Impact”

A scientific seminar titled “Real-World AI Impact” will be held on 4 February at 2:00 PM in Room 102, Neftchilar Campus of the Khazar University.

The seminar will be delivered by Professor Amir H. Gandomi, a renowned scholar in Data Science from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Professor Gandomi is also a Distinguished Professor at Óbuda University, Budapest, and is internationally recognized as one of the leading researchers in applied artificial intelligence.

The seminar will focus on the role of artificial intelligence in solving real-world problems, with particular emphasis on Evolved Machine Intelligence (EMI)-advanced AI approaches inspired by biological evolution and natural systems. The presentation will cover genetic programming, big data analytics, optimization of complex and nonlinear systems, and many-objective optimization, supported by real-world applications and case studies. The advantages of evolutionary AI methods over classical optimization techniques will also be highlighted.

It should be noted that Professor Amir H. Gandomi is the author of over 500 scientific publications and 14 books, with more than 77,000 citations (H-index: 119). He has been named a Highly Cited Researcher by Web of Science for six consecutive years and was ranked among the world’s most influential researchers in Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing in the 2024 Stanford University–Elsevier rankings.

The seminar is intended for students, researchers, and professionals interested in artificial intelligence, data science, engineering, and optimization.
