The 10th International Rumi Congress to be held in Cyprus with Joint Organization of Khazar University

The 10th International Rumi Congress will be held with the joint organization of the Mevlana Literary-Philosophical Research Center operating under Khazar University and the Near East University of Cyprus. Based on the memorandum signed between the two universities in 2023, this prestigious scientific congress, which will be hosted alternately by one of these two universities each year, will this year be hosted by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The congress will take place on December 3-5, 2025, in Nicosia, at the Near East University. Scholars, researchers, and artists from various countries around the world will discuss Mevlana's rich philosophical heritage and the universal values he bestowed upon humanity.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is October 20, 2025. You can participate in the symposium with presentations on the following topics:

Individual and social security in the shadow of peace, morality and tolerance, the concept of good's victory over evil, truth's victory over falsehood, similarities between Mevlana's and Jesus Christ's perspectives, the necessity of emphasizing the concepts of homeland and patriotism, world peace from the perspective of Mevlana and Shams, similarities of perspectives between Mevlana and Shintoism, similarities of perspectives between Mevlana and Confucius, the influence of Islamic mysticism on world religions, the impact of Mevlana's perspective in resolving psychological and spiritual crises, Jung and Mevlana, the concepts of paradise and hell from the Sufi perspective, the concepts of oppressor and oppressed from the Sufi perspective, Sufism and Islamism, resolution of contemporary crises from the Sufi and mystical perspective, the necessity of incorporating Sufi literature in the education system, common grounds between Mevlana and Alisher Navai.
