9th International Scientiﬁc Rumi Congress Baku- Azerbaijan Republic 12-14 December 2024

Organized annually by the Rumi Research Center of Near East University, the traditional congresses on “Mevlana, Mevlevi, Sufism, and Wisdom” will be held in Baku in 2024 with the cooperation of Azerbaijan Khazar University, Mevlana Literary-Philosophical Research Institute and hosted by Khazar University between 12-14 December 2024.

Since the first of our Congress, “Rumi Scientific Congresses,” which have hosted many valuable researchers and academicians from many countries on Sufi literature, philosophy, scientific aspects of Mevlevi, wisdom, and wisdom, have taken care to be a prestigious scientific event where qualified studies are presented. In addition to face-to-face sessions in Baku, the 9th International Scientific Rumi Congress has provided ONLINE participation and presentation options via “ZOOM” to researchers who want to attend our Congress. We expect you to participate in our Congress with your work and wish you well-being.

Important dates for the Congress:

September 30, 2024 – Deadline for abstract submission

October 15, 2024- Sending the acceptance notice of abstracts to participants November 15, 2024- Sending the full text of the papers to the secretariat November 25, 2024- Sending the congress program to participants

November 30, 2024- Notifying the secretariat of the departure and return dates of face-to-face participants

December 11, 2024- Arrival of guests in Baku

December 12, 2024- Opening and continuation of the Congress December 13, 2024- Closing program and evaluation of the Congress

December 14, 2024- Baku city tour (for those who wish to participate) and departure of participants from Baku

February 20, 2024- Deadline for submission of abstracts in English for Scopus-indexed publication.

Important Note:

Our Congress is a National Congress Call by the Associate Professorship criteria. “According to the decision numbered 10 of the YÖK General Assembly dated June 15, 2023, "Studies presented at National Congresses and published in abstracts or full texts in the proceedings book are evaluated as 2 points in associate professorship applications."
Abstracts presented at our Congress will be published in a SCOPUS-indexed book for a fee.

Abstracts to be presented at the Congress can be presented in (Azerbaijani Turkish, Turkish in Turkey, Russian, Persian, Arabic, and English). Still, they must be sent to the secretariat in "ENGLISH TEXT" for publication.
It is kindly requested that consideration be given to not publishing or presenting abstracts sent for the Congress in whole or in part elsewhere.
Face-to-face participants must provide their transportation to and from Baku. However, transportation from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the congress center will be covered.
Accommodation is the responsibility of the participants.

There is no fee to attend the Congress.

Spelling rules:

Papers and abstracts should be prepared according to the following format:

Main title 14 Punta Times Roman (Bold) in the middle

Under the title 10 Punta Times Roman (Bold) without writing the author's academic title and in the middle
The author/authors' academic titles, addresses, e-mail addresses, ORCID IDs, and WOS IDs, if any, should be written as footnotes.
Subheadings 12 Punta Times Roman (Bold)

The text is 12 Punta Times Roman (Normal)

Line spacing 1.15 cm.

There should be no paragraph spacing.

Page layout: 1.50 from the top, 1.50 from the bottom, and 2 cm from the right and left.

Paper should be prepared with APA 6th Version.

Bibliography/references should be written in Times Roman 11 Normal.

Pictures and other additions should be placed at the end of the paper and before the bibliography.
