"The Literature Voyagers" (klv.az) Website Announces Poetry Contest

The website "The Literature Voyagers" (klv.az) is organizing a poetry contest titled "Each Poem, a Warrior for the Homeland," commemorating the 90th anniversary of the People's Poet Mammad Araz as part of the "V Mammad Araz Poetry Day" celebration. This competition aims to foster the creation of artistic poetry, bring talented poets to Azerbaijan, and elevate their recognition and status within both society and the literary world.

 

Competition guidelines:

Participants of all ages are welcome to enter the competition, and there are no restrictions on the length of the poetic works submitted. Only original, unpublished poems are eligible for submission. Poems should be compiled in a Word document using 14-point Times New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing. Along with their poem submissions, participants must include their full names along with pseudonyms (to be shared with the jury), as well as short biographies in separate files. Additionally, they should provide copies of both sides of their ID cards, photos, addresses, and contact numbers via email to the following address: m.arazmusabiqe@gmail.com.

Literary submissions for the competition will be accepted until March 1, 2024, and the jury will evaluate them until March 15. Poems will be presented to the jury under a pseudonym. Details about the announcement of the winners will be provided separately. Prize for the 1st place of the competition - 200 AZN;

Prize for the 2nd place - 150 AZN;

Prize for the 3rd place - 100 AZN.

Winners will receive certificates. Participants who rank within the top ten will receive a Certificate of Participation. No feedback will be provided for letters and messages of authors who did not take place in the competition. The finest poetic examples will be showcased on the klv.az website and in our journal.
