Khazar University Announces Vacancy for Assistant Dean of the Graduate School of Economics and Business
Main duties
The assistant of the faculty carries out the following activities under the guidance of the dean:
- Carrying out the documentation on issues such as admission to the master's degree, registration etc.
- Supporting the provision of necessary technical support to students
- Ensuring the organization of individual counseling and advisory commissions for student
- Organizing and supervising the coordinated work of master's and doctoral students with departments;
- Participating in the organization of admission to doctoral and dissertation programs in accordance with the relevant rules, to accept documents
- Carrying out documentation in the organization of entrance examinations for doctoral studies in philosophy and specialty subjects
- Organizing the dissertation competition and carrying out the documentation
- Maintaining documentation in the process of passing the minimum exams for doctoral students and dissertators
- At the end of each academic year, carrying out documentation work in the preparation of the annual attestation of students and the analysis of student achievements
- Organizing plagiarism checks of students' scientific articles and dissertations
- Developing and maintaining a functional database for all master's and doctoral programs, students and graduates
- Ensuring that students' research papers and theses are obtained from the relevant departments, stored in the master's and doctoral departments, and submitted to the Khazar University Library database
- Coordinating with the Library Information Center and relevant departments to ensure the quality of student learning and research
- Ensuring proper storage of all files and information of masters, doctoral students and dissertators
- Timely delivery of required information by contacting master's, doctoral and dissertation students
- Collecting the required documents from master, doctoral and dissertation students and ensuring their proper storage in the department
- Organizing work with masters, doctoral students and dissertators who regularly apply to the department for certain documents
- Timely preparation of expulsion orders for expired doctoral students and dissertators
- Preparing meeting minutes
- Proper organization of other clerical work
Required knowledge, skills and habits
- Master's degree according to the profile of the faculty
- Oral and written communication skills in English
- Working with documents, correspondence and clerical skills
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Good communication skills with students and staff
- Ability to work independently and show initiative
- Positive thinking and self-motivation
- Collegiality: ability to create strong work relationships and a positive work environment, respectful, ability to work in a team
