December 9 & 10, 2021
Priding itself on Nizami Ganjavi’s literary, cultural, and artistic legacy, and passionate to preserve its flame and glow continuously, especially in light of this year being declared Nizami Ganjavi Year by the Government, Khazar University hereby announces its International Conference on Nizami, due to convene on two consecutive days, i.e. 9th and 10th of December, 2021.
The Call for Papers revolves around a number of overarching themes in this spirit; to begin with, and operating as an important and major theme in this regard, willing academics are invited to submit their work and research on the translations of Nizami Ganjavi`s Works in other Languages. Academics submitting will have seen relevant experiences and problems with such translations that they can discuss in their submissions.
Another broad strand along which submissions are encouraged concerns different World Civilizations as Manifested in Nizami`s Works. Yet another broad theme for the conference deals with the Historical and Geographical Cosmology of the World in Nizami Ganjavi’s Literary Legacy.
These themes are intended to tap into the widest possible spectrum of submissions on this topic and leave Nizami’s important tradition open to an array of interpretations.
In this spirit, any submission dealing with the cultural, historical, linguistic, literary, stylistic, and translatological aspects in Nizami’s work is also encouraged.
