The 3^rd International Conference on Economics of Football

Khazar University, New Economic School (NES) and Higher School of Economics (HSE), Russia are organizing a conference on the Economics of Football. The main objective of the conference is to highlight high-quality research of the football industry as well as to facilitate the cooperation between academics and practitioners. 

Organizers invite researchers to submit papers for presentation. Theoretical and/or empirical research papers that deal with economic, social, and managerial problems of the football industry are welcome.

The list of possible topics includes:

• Football development
• Fans and demand for football
• Labor and transfer markets
• Networks and performance
• Tournament theory
• Mega-events
• Determinants of success
• Risk assessment and evaluation of predictions
• Strategic financial management
• Economic impact study: macroeconomic benefits of investment in the football industry

Key deadlines:

Abstract submission (approximately 3 pages long): February 28, 2019

Acceptance notifications: March 31, 2019 

Full paper submission April 25, 2019.

Publication: Outstanding papers will be considered for publication in Khazar Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (KJHSS), indexed by Web of Science.
