A Drone competition will be held by the School of Applied Sciences and Engineering of Khazar University on December 26, 2018. The competition will be between 5 teams made of students from Mechanical and Electronic Engineering departments. Drones are known as unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that are either operated by human from remote location or autonomously as per set mode. These flying robots are typically made of different light weight electrical and mechanical components generally of composite materials to enhance their maneuverability and period of operation. The upcoming competition as the first step in domesticizing the technology of drones for civilian applications are aimed on the design and development of frames with high stiffness that house different components of the drone, including flight and motor controllers, motors, transmitter and receiver, propellers, and power sources, and at the same time keep the overall weight of the drone minimum.
