Khazar University with the support SPE Azerbaijan section is delighted to offer a PhD scholarship within the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences

A full PhD scholarship is available at the Petroleum Engineering department within the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Khazar University.

The selected applicant will also be offered a paid researcher position in a research team working on a fully funded industry scale research project, where he/she will be given an opportunity to work with real field data.

Applicant needs to

  • possess a post-graduate diploma (MSc) from local or foreign universities in Geosciences or Petroleum Related Disciplines.
  • possess an adequate proficiency in the English language.
  • have a clear understanding of basin and reservoir geology as well as rock mechanics, and good awareness of the petro physical evaluation of well logs.
  • be open to teach and share their knowledge as they will be offered a teaching position at the university during the duration of the PhD program.
