Department Head's Article in “Insight Turkey” journal

The article "Discussing the ‘New Türkiye’ in the Context of Strengthening the State" by Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev, Head of the Department of Political Science and Philosophy at Khazar University, was published in the journal “Insight Turkey” (“Insight Turkey”, June 2, 2025, Vol. 27, No. 3). “Insight Turkey” is a Q3 quarterly journal included in the Scopus scientific database and is published by the SETA Foundation.

Assoc. Prof. Valiyev analyzes the “New Türkiye” strategy in the article and emphasizes that Türkiye has been moving towards a stronger, more pragmatic state model at the regional and global levels rather than classical republican ideals in recent years. The article examines how modern statehood and nationalism are being reshaped against the backdrop of globalization and the impact of neoliberalism on national sovereignty.
