By order of Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, Irada Khalilova — Director of the Cell Pathology Research Center at Khazar University and Professor at the university's Department of Life Sciences — has been appointed Deputy Director of the Institute for the Study of Living Systems. On March 2, 2026, Ulkar Sattarova, Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, introduced the newly appointed Deputy Director Irada Khalilova to the staff. During the meeting, the institute's current activities and development prospects were discussed, and upcoming tasks and priority directions were outlined.

It should be noted that Irada Khalilova served as Rector of Khazar University from 2019 to 2025.
