On May 23, 2025, students of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences of Khazar University participated in the hackathon “Pesticides, their uses and dangers”. The hackathon was organized by the “ToxicNet” network and the Department of Geography and Environment.

At the hackathon, Khazar University professor Rovshan Abbasov gave a lecture on pesticides and their harms. Then, a video clip about pesticides produced by ToxicNET was shown. In the next stage, students were divided into volunteer groups and asked questions about pesticides. Each group prepared and presented presentations based on these questions. Prizes were awarded to the winners.
