On December 11, 2024, an online seminar was organized by the Department of Petroleum Engineering and the Graduate School of Science, Arts and Technology, on the topic "Mechanical and Physical Properties of Carbonates around Geothermal Areas in the Alsace City of France".

The seminar speaker, Sarvar Mammadov, presented the results of his observations and research related to the research topic.

Doctoral student Sarvar Mammadov is pursuing his doctoral education in the specialty of "Earth, Environment and Geophysical Sciences" at the University of Strasbourg in the French Republic, based on a tripartite agreement between the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Khazar University, within the framework of the "State Program for Increasing International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023".
