On May 2, 2024, Dean of Turkic Studies Faculty of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Assoc. Prof. Jumali Shabanov, who is on a visit to our country as part of the VI World Intercultural Dialogue Forum, held a meeting with faculty and students at Khazar University. Assoc. Prof. Dilbar Zeynalova, head of the Department of Languages and Literatures, introduced the guest by talking about the importance of Uzbek-Azerbaijani literary and cultural relations and the policy of close cooperation of the Azerbaijani state with the Turkic world.

The translator-scientist gave information about the teaching process of the Azerbaijani language at Tashkent University. Jumali Shabanov shared his memories of National Leader Heydar Aliyev with the students. He talked about the Great Leader's services to the Turkish world. Reciting various examples from Azerbaijani and Uzbek literature, the scientist answered the students' questions. Assoc. Prof. Khatira Yusifova and Dr. Ilkin Askerov, lecturers of the Department of Languages and Literatures, spoke at the meeting. Jumali Shabanov answered various questions of the students about Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan literary and cultural relations and the Turkic world. At the end of the meeting, the guest was presented with a gift from Khazar University.
