On April 25, 2024, second-year students of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences of Khazar University embarked on an educational excursion to the National Museum of Azerbaijan History under the guidance of archaeologist Orkhan Zamanov, a teacher of the Department of History and Archeology.
The National Azerbaijan History Museum was once the home of Azerbaijani millionaire and philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev. The museum exposition covers two floors of the historical building. A specially designated guide for the students introduced them to archaeological and historical exhibits from the earliest times to the present day in Azerbaijan, and gave extensive information about the history of each of them. The exhibits on the 2nd floor of the museum mainly cover the processes from the khanate period to the 21st century. At the same time, information about the struggles and speeches for the freedom of Azerbaijan, culture, national costumes, and oil development can be found here. The excursion was received with interest by the students and concluded with memory photos.
