On March 28, 2024, Professor Saeed Kaboli of Zanjan Medical University (Islamic Republic of Iran, Tehran), organized by the Department of Life Sciences, delivered a training program titled " CRISPR-Based Diagnostics: Challenges, Potentials and Applications " at an event held in the Marble Hall of Khazar University. During the training, the specialist first provided comprehensive insights on CRISPR-Cas9 technology, its origin, importance and areas of application.
Later, detailed discussions ensued on CRISPR-Cas9's role in gene editing, diagnosing various infectious diseases, crRNA design, and utilization of bioinformatics programs and databases. Alongside Khazar University professors and students, researchers from various scientific institutions actively participated in the interactive training, where questions from students and researchers were elaborately addressed.
