On February 29, 2024, Aygun Aziz, a literary translator and employee of the "Qanun" publishing house, met with undergraduate students at Khazar University. The meeting was organized at the initiative of Elvin Abbasbeyli, coordinator of the Center of Translation and Interpretation at the university, and with the support of Milana Abbasova, head of the English Language and Literature Department. Milana Abbasova commenced the event with an introduction and provided participants with a brief overview of the guest. Elvin Abbasbeyli later announced that a contract had been signed with "Qanun" publishing house to publish a book translated into English by the students. Additionally, Aygun Aziz will conduct a master class with students in the department's "Literary Translation" course in March.

Aygun Aziz shared insights into the literary translation profession, techniques used in this type of translation, and her experiences in the field. Following this, the publishing house representative addressed numerous questions from the students.
