The II National Consecutive Interpretation Contest, organized by Khazar University's Department of English Language and Literature and the Center of Translation and Interpretation (CTI), held its selection round on March 1, 2024, at Baku Slavic University. In the selection round, students majoring in translation (in English) and having proficient translation skills were involved.
Milana Abbasova, the head of Khazar University's English Language and Literature Department, and Elvin Abbasbeyli, the first Azerbaijani member of the International Association of Conference Interpreters and accredited translator of the president and government of France, who also serves as a coordinator of Khazar University's Center of Translation and Interpretation (CTI), evaluated the students based on the established criteria.
The winners of the selection round will represent Baku Slavic University in the final stage of the contest scheduled for May.
