The II National Consecutive Interpretation Contest, organized by Khazar University's Department of English Language and Literature and the Center of Translation and Interpretation (CTI), held its selection round on February 23, 2024, with participation from students of Azerbaijan University of Languages. A total of 10 students took part in the selection round, comprising students majoring in translation with proficient translation skills.

Milana Abbasova, the head of Khazar University's English Language and Literature Department, and Elvin Abbasbeyli, the first Azerbaijani member of the International Association of Conference Interpreters and accredited translator of the president and government of France, who also serves as a coordinator of Khazar University's Center of Translation and Interpretation (CTI), and Zamira Gurbanova, a faculty member, evaluated the students based on the established criteria.

The winners of the selection round will represent Azerbaijan University of Languages in the final stage of the contest scheduled for May.
