In celebration of the 85th anniversary of People’s poet Vagif Samadoglu, the Vagif Samadoglu Center initiated a competition for the finest recitation of the poet's works. The judging panel included poet and essayist Salim Babulla, director and educator Mahmanzar Huseynova, poet Farid Huseyn, and actor and reciter Kamran Yunisli. Additionally, participants from the "Rhetoric" club of Khazar University's Department of Languages and Literatures took part in the competition.

On January 28, on the Commemoration Day of the outstanding poet-playwright, the winners of the contest were invited to the Vagif Samadoglu Center, where they were presented with books and CDs of the writer's multifaceted creativity. Following the event, jury members offered participants valuable advice on artistic recitation and addressed their questions.

Dr. Nushaba Vakilova, who leads the Vagif Samadoglu Center, gifted the poet's rosary to Sanur Yagubov, a fourth-year student at Khazar University, and presented the book "Gurzachol writings" authored by Vagif Samadoglu, containing paroemias, to Dr. Sevinj Gambarova, the club's coordinator, in recognition of her research contributions.
